FED: Tuckey challenges EPA to prove credentials on = 2

Opposition forests spokesman Laurie Ferguson accused Mr Tuckey of further undermining WAs
RFA process.

"The integrity of the RFA process in WA has been further undermined by Wilson Tuckeys
attempts to intimidate scientists who hold different views to him," Mr Ferguson said in a
statement.

"A minister taking a balanced approach to the sensitive forests debate would surely take
seriously an official report by a state government agency suggesting that logging levels in WA
are not environmentally sustainable."

Mr Ferguson said even Premier Richard Court had suggested an independent investigator
should examine his states forest management practices.

"He is seriously mistaken if he thinks his behaviour is assisting the timber industry," Mr
Ferguson said.
