Qld: Queensland floods not all bad news
Queensland graziers say floodwaters will bring stock losses .. but also some relief
from the long-running drought.
PETER KENNY from Agforce says falls of up to 250 millimetres and widespread flooding
is good news.
He says in the short term there will be stock loss and damage to fences and infrastructure.
But MR KENNY says the long term the effects of flooding will be positive.
The biggest rain fall has been recorded at Burketown .. which has received 268 millimetres
in the last seven days.
